Upper and Lower Crossed Syndromes refer to the muscle imbalances and compensation patterns that develop when poor posture, overuse, or injury create dysfunction and pain.
In this class, we will explain and demonstrate how to address the hypertonic muscles associated with these patterns using:

The course is taught by a manual orthopedic Physical Therapist and assisted by Massage Therapists, all of whom bring over 20 years of clinical experience. Through interactive lectures, live demonstrations, and hands-on practice (giving and receiving), you will gain practical skills you can implement into your practice immediately.
Note: All techniques will be practiced fully clothed on treatment tables.
Instructor

Dr. Rebecca McCormick, PT, DPT
Rebecca McCormick, PT, DPT is a physical therapist with nearly two decades of clinical experience in outpatient orthopedic and pelvic health care. She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the renowned Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy at the University of Southern California.
As owner of her own physical therapy practice, Rebecca focuses on identifying movement patterns, addressing underlying contributors to pain and dysfunction, and helping patients build long-term strategies for improved strength, mobility, and confidence. She has a particular interest in integrating manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, postural cueing, body mechanics training, and patient education to support meaningful, lasting outcomes. Over the course of her career, Rebecca has continued to expand her knowledge through extensive continuing education, mentorship, and collaboration with colleagues.
In both clinical care and teaching, Rebecca is committed to making complex concepts practical, approachable, and directly applicable to patient care.
